How plans work

Free to keep. Pro when you need it

Every plan gets every update. If you stop paying, Curtains goes back to Free and keeps your settings.

  • Free stays free

    Free has every layout and presenter tool for up to 2 apps at a time, and gets every update. Sources shows only work apps by default, and you can hide any app by hand. The “Shared with Curtains” badge stays on, and the canvas uses the 5 built-in themes.

  • Start with 14 days of Pro

    Every new install gets Pro for 14 days, with no account and no card. Then Curtains switches to Free on its own. There's nothing to cancel.

  • Pro is billed once a year

    For one person on up to 3 devices. Pro shares up to 6 apps, lets you turn the badge off and adds custom backgrounds and overlays: your own colors, gradients, background images and a logo or frame on top. If you cancel, Pro keeps working until the end of the year you paid for, then Curtains goes back to Free. Your settings, combos and themes stay, and a custom theme comes back when you upgrade again.

  • Lifetime is a personal license, paid once

    The same features as Pro, with every future update, for one person on up to 3 devices. It's for you, not your team, and there's nothing to renew.

  • Pro for teams

    Buy a seat for each person who presents, 3 seats minimum. Seats cost less from the 10th on. Invite people by email; each of them signs in with their own address. Add seats any time.

  • Your plan is checked on your device

    You sign in on curtains.app in your browser and activate each device there. After that, Curtains checks your plan without going online. Pro asks you to renew once a year in one click, or renews by itself if you turn that on.

  • Refunds through Stripe

    Stripe sells Curtains as the merchant of record and handles refunds under its policies. Beyond that, refunds are at our discretion.

Every new install gets Pro for 14 days, with no account and no card. That includes custom backgrounds and overlays. The “Shared with Curtains” badge stays on during the trial.

Curtains switches to Free and keeps working, with up to 2 apps at a time and the badge on. Sources still shows only work apps, and apps you hid yourself stay hidden. Upgrade whenever you want more.

Pro and Lifetime cover one person on up to 3 devices. On Pro for teams, each seat is one person on up to 3 devices. Free works anywhere.

Buy a seat for each person who presents, 3 seats minimum. Seats cost $3.75 a month each, billed annually, and less from the 10th seat on: $3.25 for seats 10 to 24 and $2.75 for seats 25 to 50. You invite people by email, and each of them signs in with their own address. Add seats any time.

Pro keeps working until the end of the year you paid for. Then Curtains switches to Free. Your settings, combos and themes stay.

The features are the same. Pro is billed once a year. Lifetime is paid once and includes every future update.

Yes, on Pro, Lifetime and Pro for teams. It’s a setting in Curtains. On Free and during the trial, the badge stays on.

No. You sign in on curtains.app in your browser and activate each device there. After that, Curtains checks your plan on your device. The app itself only goes online to check for updates and to send anonymous usage stats, and you can turn off both.
